Great apartment
The location was amazing and it was clean and comfortable with a great little kitchenette. The coffee machine was lovely too!
The shower drained very slowly and the wifi was quite slow at times.

Superb location and comfort of having your own kitchenet
You book this for the great location just at the calmer upper end of the main shopping street and for the comfort of having a kitchenet with a good sized refrigerator with a small freezer department, toaster, nespresso coffee machine, and microwave (big plus). I stayed on the first floor in the first unit. It's a small unit but fits your basic needs. It was spotless clean with some aroma sticks to freshen up the air. There's a radiator that can come handy in winter months but no AC or fan, I actually was told AC is not so common in Porto by a local just so you know. Everything is close by, ATMs, there's a small supermarket next door opened way late with the basic things you need and a friendly Indian owner and a larger Pingo Doce about 3 blocks away, turn left on the second street after Bolhao metro stop. You can take the metro from the airport or go by Uber for 14-ish Euros. The manager Marco is super nice, he even helped me carry the bag up the stairs which he really didn't have to. I read someone complained about him not carrying their bag (there is no elevator) and you really shouldn't expect someone to do that. Please keep in mind there is no reception and cleaning is done when you checked out. Maybe you can ask for fresh towels via Whatsapp but I thought it was nice to have no one disturb me the whole week I was there. You will have pigeons and hear the neighbors but isn't that a part of the experience of a new city? Wifi was fine in all rooms on both 4G and 5G mobile phones. There's a good selection of TV channels and Portuguese don't do voice overs on movies so they were in English. If you want to go to the beach you can take the metro to Matosinhos where you also have Piscina Das Marés, saltwater pools just next to the beach. Weather was not good when I was there but I just picked the wrong week, the next week it looked like 26-28 C.
First of all - you pay in cash, there's an ATM 2 blocks down the street so come prepared. Just wanted to highlight this as this is not that clear on Booking.com. I stayed alone in a 2 person unit and there was 2 different prices and it mentioned both payment in cash and bank transfer. I also couldn't respond to emails from Santa Catarina via Booking.com, the emails would only bounce stating my gmail address was not trusted. But in the end I called the number and Marco wrote on Whatsapp so it was sorted. So this is mainly a booking website issue. Other than that just two thing - there was no cutting board and the bed will leave your back a bit broken. I get why hotel beds are often hard, they last longer, but please invest in better pillows. I had to use both plus the two decorative pillows to be able to sleep somewhat. Just a friendly advice :)

Excellent value and location. A must stay in Porto
Excellent location and value for Porto, definitely recommend staying here if you are travelling as a family or 2 couples.
The couch was not very comfortable and it was missing a washing machine & a water boiler. Otherwise, everything else was great
